Latin American Art Fair 2019 celebrates its fifth annual event, Hosted by Bread and Salt Arts Center in collaboration with Athenaeum Music & Arts Library

SAN DIEGO, CA, September 28, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Latin American Art Fair 2019 (LAAF 2019) is proud to announce an exciting array of masterful works in contemporary art from throughout Latin America. In partnership with Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, LAAF 2019 will exhibit works of artists from our guest country, Peru, during our event on October 12 and 13 at Bread & Salt in San Diego’s Barrio Logan. The event is open to the public and admission is FREE.

“This event where the visitor will experience art in various forms including painted works, sculpted pieces, and live performances, all from exciting up-and-coming artists is one of the two shows that will be part of the San Diego Art Weekend 2019. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. waiting to great our guests will be galleries, collectors, and over 30 artists, including featured artisans from Peru, curated by Pablo Bejar. Featured contemporary artists and galleries include: Rafael San Juan and Yunayka Martin from Cuba, Mendel Samayoa from Latinaria Collective of Guatemala, La Marrulera Collective from Mexico City, Jose Santos from Oaxaca, San Diego Mesa College (curated by Alessandra Moctezuma), and La Caja Gallery of Baja California which will feature artists Yunen Esparza and Jaime Ruiz Otis among others. Also showcasing their works will be LAAF 2018’s “Best In Show” winners César Vásquez, and Maik Jiménez.

Our live stage will feature violinist MALU, Contemporary Dance Company Péndulo Cero, and a live art performance by Pita Zapot. LAAF 2019 visitors will also be treated to gastronomic treats prepared by our chefs as well as craft beer from local breweries, and wine from the Guadalupe Valley in Mexico.

Now in our fifth annual event, LAAF looks forward to once again bringing to the forefront the true importance and necessity of art for cultural enrichment, brought to us by the many unique pieces as created by masters in their discipline who have dedicated themselves to their art and bringing its free expression of Latin American identity to Barrio Logan, a focal point of art for California.
