Jocelyn Chouinard has been honored by the International Association of Who’s Who as one of the Most Influential Women in Dance Art, Choreography, and Healthcare.
LUNENBURG, NS, June 06, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Jocelyn Chouinard, BA RMT, was trained at the prestigious College of Massage Therapy, where she completed her degree in massage and hydrotherapy in 1994 from the prestigious West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, Canada. Upon graduation, Jocelyn became a Registered Member of the College of Massage Therapy of British Columbia. After several years working throughout the Vancouver area, Jocelyn moved to Calgary to teach at the Rocky Mountain Academy of Massage and Hydrotherapy. However, at the end of the College year, she decided to focus primarily on her private practice for the next 7 years in Calgary. Eventually, Jocelyn continued East to the city of Montreal, Quebec to pursue intensive flamenco training, while also pursuing her work as a Therapist and Dance Instructor. After 4 years in this very dynamic and amazing city, Jocelyn continue further East to Nova Scotia, to teach a workshop in Oriental Dance.
Once there, Jocelyn fell in love with this incredibly beautiful corner of Canada and is now situated in the beautiful UNESCO world Heritage town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She also continues to teach a wide Range of Continuing Education programs to Registered Massage Therapists.
Jocelyn is a now a member of MTWPAM and NHPC of Canada and has added Traditional Thai and Balinese Massage, as well as her complete Certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Jocelyn serves her clients with the utmost professionalism and ability, using her gifts for massage and other forms of therapeutic treatments to achieve maximal results for each and every client. This impressive career woman also shares her advanced knowledge with students to whom she teaches many CEU workshops in advanced massage and manual therapy techniques.
Ms. Chouinard is a highly experienced and respected professional with a deep passion for improving the well-being of others and inspiring those around her through her love and skill for her profession.
As briefly mentioned above, Jocelyn is also a skilled dance instructor who has performed and taught a wide range of dance throughout almost every country in the globe. The acclaimed dancer has consistently astounded those around her with her enthusiasm and artistry and has become a decorated instructor, winning the Global Woman of Vision Award, the International Association of Middle Eastern Dance Best Choreographer Award and the Giza Academy Award for the best instructional DVDs. She is also a renowned choreographer who practices multiple forms of dance, including Jazz, Flamenco and Polynesian, African, Afro Brazilian, Cuban and Oriental (belly) dance. Jocelyn’s in depth understanding of the culture surrounding the dance techniques is reflected in her attentive application of eastern rhythms and ability to capture emotional and artistic expression.
