Mercy Tobin is someone her Healer is touching deeply in her journey of healing. She mentions that before Jesus, aka our “Rescuer” “The Big Man” came, “life was like an octopus with many many arms, the lies curled around us, covered us, and held us prisoners. We knew nothing of freedom. Or the possibility of it.”
The poems in the book are written as journals that are kept in order for the readers to see everyday ups and downs in Mercy’s life. She wants the readers to see how Jesus never gives up or stops loving each and every one of us and that he is our rescuer, our healer, our hope, our everything.
