Long-standing member elected to serve for 2020-21 fiscal year.

ATLANTA, GA, August 16, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Kirk J. Jarrett, CPA/ABV, CVA, partner at Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC, of Rome, has been elected chair of The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) Board of Directors for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Jarrett was selected at the Society’s annual business meeting held virtually for GSCPA members. “Kirk’s community-driven leadership style and adaptability are well-timed,” says GSCPA CEO Boyd Search. “His foresight and broad knowledge will be advantageous to the Society during these unprecedented times.”

Jarrett sees GSCPA as a tremendous resource for members and would like to see that continue to grow. “This year isn’t about anything I do as chair, but rather the great work of GSCPA,” he says. “Our organization needs us, as members, to generate ideas and be their champion so we can support our members on the state and national levels. This is about how we continue to stand on the shoulders of those who came before us as leaders and continue to morph the profession for the future.”

Jarrett, a long-standing and active member of GSCPA, began working with the Society through his local chapter serving as president. He then became a chapter representative for the Leadership Council before serving as treasurer of The Educational Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors. Jarrett is also a member of The Group Insurance Trust Committee, Nominating, Investment and Budget Committee and past member of Professional Ethics, Value Proposition Task Force, Leadership Academy Task Force, and various sections. Jarrett holds a business degree from LaGrange College and continued studying accounting at Kennesaw State University. He is an Accredited Business Valuator (ABV) under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Standards and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) under the National Association of Certified Valuation Analyst.
