Scotsman Guide Releases Top Originators 2019 Rankings

Scotsman Guide, the leading resource for mortgage originators, released its 11th annual Top Originators rankings on April 1. The list, which ranks the nation’s top mortgage producers, appears in Scotsman Guide’s April 2020 residential edition, and the rankings are available online at https://www.scotsmanguide.com/rankings/top-originators.
Scott Snapp was ranked among entries from more than 6,000 mortgage professionals across the country. To be eligible for initial consideration in Scotsman Guide’s Top Originators rankings, originators must have had at least $40 million in loan volume or 100 closed home loans for the 2019 calendar year. After receiving submissions, Scotsman Guide required written verification of top entrants’ volume data from a certified public accountant, the chief financial officer at the originator’s company or a similar source.

Scott joined loanDepot in the spring of 2018 bringing 20 years of valuable experience. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at University of Findlay. His previous roles include 10 years as a Mortgage Originator/Sales Manager with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and 10 years as a Sales Manager with Community First Mortgage. Due to his work dedication, Scott has been recognized with various awards, including President’s Club (2017) and Leader’s Club – Purchase Producer (2012-2016). Scott originally pursued working in the mortgage business after a stressful attempt to refinance his home as a self-employed person. After several frustrating attempst by the banks, he was introduced to an owner of a broker shop who successfully helped him get the transaction done. When Scott started to send his friends and family to this broker, he realized that a career in the mortgage industry is something he should consider for himself. He has always been passionate about helping others overcome challenges. Today, he continues to share his expertise, enabling clients to realize the homeownership dream.
