LPI (Linux Professional Institute), a Global Leader in International Linux Certification for Open Source Professionals, Enters the Vietnamese Market
HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, May 01, 2020 /Neptune100/ — LPI (Linux Professional Institute), the world’s first and largest vendor-neutral Linux and open source certification body, has announced its entry into the Vietnamese market to actively support Vietnamese LPI exam testers and certification holders as of today.
LPI is a non-profit organization created for the development and proliferation of Linux and open source. Since its establishment in 1999 in Toronto, Canada, it has overseen its Linux and open source certification exams in more than 180 countries around the world, including the United States, Europe, Japan, China and South Korea.
LPIC Vietnam has been established as the LPI Vietnam channel partner for the mission. Its goal is to actively contribute to the local open source ecosystem by connecting people, educational institutions and companies to foster open source professionals. It plans to expand its partnership programs with training partners, academic partners and hiring partners to increase training opportunities. In order to lower test thresholds, it will offer discounts on test vouchers, provide exam labs and localize exams and textbooks. Through its hiring partner networks in Japan, South Korea and other countries, LPIC Vietnam will support domestic and overseas employment of open source qualified professionals.
LPIC has three levels of qualification: LPIC-1, LPIC-2, and LPIC-3. The first stage consists of using Linux and managing local systems and basic networks, the second stage is managing small and medium-sized networks, and the third stage is aimed at strengthening professional competency for enterprise-level high availability, virtualization, and security. In addition, LPI provides DevOps tool tests such as Jenkins, Docker, and Git, and plans to provide various IT-related tests that can appeal to individual competencies in line with the needs of the company and the trend of the open source era.
LPIC Vietnam has launched its official website (https://lpicvietnam.org) that provides useful guide to LPI certifications and offers Vietnamese students and jobseekers with discount vouchers so that they can access LPI certification exams at lower prices. In commemoration of the website opening, test vouchers are 20% off from May 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020.
