Source One Consultant Brandon Hummons will join the Institute for Supply Management’s Chicago chapter to chair its Emerging Leadership Committee.

CHICAGO, IL, July 16, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Robert Mietus recently commenced his term as the new President of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)’s Chicago chapter. In addition to detailing his vision for the organization’s future, he has appointed a “cabinet” of leaders for its various committees. Among them is Source One Consultant Brandon Hummons who will serve as Chair for ISM-Chicago’s Emerging Leadership committee.

Established over a century ago, ISM dedicates itself to promoting Supply Chain education and advocates for an open exchange of ideas between Procurement professionals. The institute’s dozens of local chapters carry out this mission at the city, state, and regional levels. While Hummons’ new position is not the first collaboration between Source One and ISM-Chicago, it promises to bring the two organizations closer than ever.

Procurement is evolving,” says Hummons, “and so are Procurement professionals. The emerging generation of leaders demands an organization that’s tailored to their unique goals and capable of adapting and innovating consistently. Together with Rob and the rest of ISM-Chicago’s board, I look forward to serving as a valued resource for professional development and ongoing education.”

In addition to heading the Emerging Leadership group, Hummons intends to play an active role on ISM-Chicago’s Programs Committee. He will assist the organization in planning a variety of thought leadership and networking events throughout Chicago and the surrounding area. In this capacity, he hopes to place particular emphasis on events related to both leadership and supplier diversity.
