Patricia L. Highcove, CRC, CCM, CVE, CEAS, has been recognized as America’s Most Influential in Rehabilitation and Counseling by the International Association of Who’s Who

Ms. Patricia L. Highcove, CRC, CCM, CVE, CEAS, of Lutherville, MD, is honored as America’s Most Influential in Rehabilitation and Counseling for her dedication and extensive contributions within the field of Vocational Counseling.

LUTHERVILLE, MD, December 05, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Over the course of her career, that now spans close to 4 decades, Ms. Highcove has compiled a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has operated her own consulting practice, under the recently named TruMethod Services, for over twenty years. Ms. Highcove first became involved in her profession after dedicating time to working with developmentally disabled children. This fueled her passion to help others and enable them to lead a better quality of life.

Ms. Highcove studied at Syracuse University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services, before studying for her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at the same institution. During this time, she had the opportunity to gain valuable experience as a student assistant at the Vocational Assessment and Career Center in 1982. In addition, Ms. Highcove became a Certified Vocational Evaluator in 1983, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor in 1985, Certified Case Manager in 1990, and a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist in 2016.

Ms. Highcove began her career at Merrimack Valley Rehabilitation Center as a Vocational Evaluator from 1982 to 1983. Following this, Ms. Highcove became a Counselor and Evaluator with Alliance, Inc. between 1983-1984, then a Rehabilitation Specialist IV for the Division of Rehabilitation Services at the Maryland Rehabilitation Center between 1984-1986, then a Rehabilitation Specialist, a Field Service Manager, and a Territory Director at Intracorp between 1986-1997, and a Senior Executive at the Guilford Group, LLC from 1997-2001 until she took the leap into practicing as an independent consultant at TruMethod Services (previously known as Highcove consulting). She is also providing services as a Social Security Vocational Expert.

Highly respected in her profession, Ms. Highcove has also worked to maintain professional affiliations such as the National Association of Professional Woman and a Board Member of the Chesapeake Association of Rehabilitation of Professionals, where she also held the role of president, a Board Member of Kids Chance of Maryland and a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. Ms. Highcove is also known for her dedication throughout her community, in her efforts volunteering with the Special Olympics.

Reflecting on her successes to date, Ms. Highcove is privileged to have been recognized for her commitment to her field and was honored to have been the National Association of Professional Women’s VIP Woman of The Year for her accomplishments as a leader in business in 2014. Ms. Highcove has also been named in the 71st Edition of Who’s Who in America.

Looking to the future, Ms. Highcove aims to become a certified life care planner, with the necessary qualifications in place to enable her to take greater responsibility in delivering care to her clients.

In her free time, Ms. Highcove likes to spend time with her family; her husband, five children and their significant others, granddaughter, and her brother. She also likes caring for her animals and her interests include reading, listening to music and aspiring to travel.
