NEW YORK, NY, September 18, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Some people get into the entrepreneurial world for money reasons, or just to escape the life they are currently living. For Sherman Gartrell, this was his path to helping as many people as he could. He wants to change the lives of his clients for the better by teaching them the importance of credit.
Sherman Gartrell is the perfect example of a serial entrepreneur and businessman. He runs his own business called Kingh Enterprise where he has been a tax preparer for over 24 yrs. He also does credit repair, computer and cellphone repair, wholesale printer, videography, and owns and operates Sherm’s Famous Wings.
Sherman found his way into this industry to be very easy. He always felt passionate about numbers. His favorite subject in school was math, and it was where he excelled the most. His love for numbers and money is what led him to where he is today.
He began his own business because he realized no one would be able to pay him what he was worth.
“You are not appreciated for what you do for other people’s jobs, you’re just a number,” he emphasizes.
He was faced with the challenge of having to find the funding and the right location to make his dream a reality, but he knew he had to find a way to make it work, and entrepreneurship was the only route.
Prior to all of this, Sherman had been in the military for about eight years. He went from an E-3 private first class to E-6 Staff sergeant in less than four years.
“I was a military police and the average time for MP to make that rank was about 7 or 8 years,” he says.
But it wasn’t so easy for him to get to where he is today. He had to train his mind and have the right mindset to accomplish the things he wanted.
“In most of the businesses I am in or start, you have to deal directly with people. When you are dealing with all types of people, you have to have the correct mindset,” he shares.
His advice to those looking to start their own business is to make sure you do your homework.
“Make sure you have the correct funding or source to get the funding because if things don’t go like you plan, you will be able to sustain yourself until you get the business on track,” he states.
Gartrell’s favorite quote is “KINGH” which means “Keep it N GOD’S Hand”, and it is the name he chose for his business. His only fear in life is being afraid to step out on faith. Gartrell has faced the biggest obstacle in his life which was to stop drinking.
“I used to drink morning, noon, and night. I can say I have been sober for over 12 years now,” he says.
Sherman’s definition of success is to be able to take care of himself and his family, without having to struggle to do it. Being able to live comfortably and being able to do what he wants, when he wants to. Financial Freedom to him, is being debt free, taking care of yourself and your family and living comfortably with no financial worries.
“I put you before me. I want you to win,” he shares.
Sherman Gartrell wants to continue to grow. His next project is to help as many people as he can, to get perfect credit and learn just how important credit is (Credit Is Power). Gartrell describes himself as a people person. He loves helping people.
