Decision made in response to business opportunities in the Asia/Pacific region in the advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics industries employing artificial intelligence (AI) applications

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, June 09, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Today the executives of Indianapolis-based Tactical Systems, LLC announced the opening of offices in downtown Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia, and Singapore. “We decided on this move in response to our business research on the Asia/Pacific region,” said Professor Bryan Christiansen who is the CEO of Tactical Systems.

Organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Economic Forum, and the World Bank forecast economic growth in the Asia/Pacific region this year at an average of 5.9% before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, these figures were unsurprisingly downgraded significantly after the pandemic began taking its toll on the global economy earlier this year. In fact, Bloomberg published a story in April stating the Director of the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department believes the region’s economic growth will be at a standstill in 2020 which has not occurred in 60 years.

“Nonetheless, we remain optimistic the world economy will eventually recover from the pandemic, especially the Asia/Pacific region,” continued Professor Christiansen, a former IBMer who is fluent in two Asian languages and has resided in the region for a total of 15 years conducting business with Fortune 500 firms and attending university. He has published several Reference books on business and economic development in the Asia/Pacific region which are available in top university libraries, most notably Harvard University.

An IBM Business Partner, Tactical Systems is focusing on the advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics industries employing artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The offices in Southeast Asia are being opened as part of a strategic direction with Tactical Systems’ other business partners to service clients who market products and services worldwide.

A member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Professor Christiansen has led major IT implementations with entities such as British Petroleum/Mobil Oil in Russia, Dell Computer in Japan, Royal Dutch Shell in the Netherlands, and Scandinavian Airlines in Singapore. Some of his published work is cited in a published 600-page PhD dissertation on Mars exploration systems and a separate journal article on the Mars One program available at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
