Synensys selected by the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) to serve as the prime contractor for their Patient Safety Specialist program.

ATLANTA, GA, September 04, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Synensys, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) with headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia was recently selected by the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine to serve as the prime contractor for the Patient Safety Specialist program.

“The BUMED Patient Safety Specialist program is a critical part of the High Reliability Organization (HRO) patient safety management system,” according to Dr. Daniel Wyman, CMO and COO at Synensys. “BUMED Patient Safety Specialists provide patient safety program management support, training, and data management across select U.S. and international Navy medical treatment facilities (MTFs).”

Under this new contract, Synensys has partnered with Credence Management Solutions headquartered in Vienna, Virginia. Synensys has provided similar patient safety management support to the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Patient Safety Program since 2011.

The Navy Patient Safety Specialists will support each local MTF as they improve safety, quality, and risk management practices. “As a Navy veteran, I am personally excited about this new opportunity to again serve BUMED, Navy MTFs, and their patient beneficiaries in their pursuit of safer patient care,” said Stephen Powell, Synensys CEO and founder.
