Source One will Talk Tariffs and Trade War Uncertainty in an Upcoming Webinar for ISM-New Jersey

WILLOW GROVE, PA, October 11, 2019 /Neptune100/ — The United States’ ongoing trade war with China has introduced a host of new obstacles and challenges for Supply Chain professionals throughout the nation. Most notable, perhaps, is a growing sense of uncertainty. On November 6th, Source One Senior Analyst Sam Cagle will address this uncertainty – and offer strategies for overcoming it – in a webinar sponsored by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)’s New Jersey chapter.

“America’s escalating tariffs affect businesses in just about every industry,” says Cagle, “and the worst part is that many don’t even know they’re vulnerable.” Cagle intends to provide clarity with a succinct summary of this complicated issue. He will also offer strategies for collaborating more closely with suppliers and boosting visibility across the supply chain.

Treating suppliers as business partners is a best practice in any situation. In chaotic times like a trade war, it becomes absolutely essential. “If tariffs are affecting you,” Cagle continues, “it’s more than likely they’re affecting your suppliers as well. I hope my webinar leaves attendees feeling more confident in their abilities to work alongside partners and address trade uncertainty as a team.”

Cagle’s webinar is just one several collaborations between ISM, its various local chapters, and Source One’s spend management team. Later this month, ISM-Chicago’s Emerging Leaders Committee will host a panel discussion addressing the future of Procurement talent. The Committee is chaired by Brandon Hummons, a Source One Consultant.

Source One’s thought leaders will finish the year by leading a panel on effective tail spend management at Consero’s Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Forum in December.
