Risson Amplifiers Hosts International Mod-Pop Star, Aizhou, & Rock Wonder, Stevie Garcia, in a Virtual Sunset Concert!

LOS ANGELES, CA, January 01, 2021 /Neptune100/ — Aizhou, a global singing and composing sensation, pops in New Year’s Day 2021 with a sizzling sunset concert sponsored by Risson, the legendary amp company founded by Bob Rissi, designer of the Rickenbacker Transonic amp. Aizhou’s prolific oeuvre has long-established her over the years as a mover and shaker of modern pop sounds with a strong tonic-tech vibe. That sonic sense, combined with the force of rock wonder, Stevie Garcia, births the first in a series of sunset concerts, EDGY, where modern pop meets old-school rock & roll. The concert livestreams via Instagram, and Facebook on 1 January, 2021 (3pm PST/6pm EST/7am Beijing).

“We are thrilled to have international sensation, Aizhou, star in the premier kickoff event of our Risson-sponsored concert series for 2021. The EDGY streaming performance will be just that — and Risson’s excited to support Aizhou’s unique and original music! 2021 is sounding like it’s gonna be a great year!” says Risson’s President and CEO, Ben Ormonde.

Aizhou notes that, “hearing my voice and music coming from Risson amps gives me chills! The distinctive powerhouse sound from their amplifiers is known throughout the world, built on the foundation of Bob Rissi, who made his mark at Fender, before starting his own company. Stevie and I are blessed to be backed by Ben and his dynamite team and, of course, the remarkable equipment from Risson.”

Aizhou and Garcia join the ranks of other great musicians who have been powered by Risson, including The Eagles, Rick Nelson, Glen Campbell, Joe Walsh, Slash, and Mötley Crüe. Aizhou’s success started at an early age in Beijing, where she has performed as a bilingual singer-songwriter and multi-genre composer. She is known for her unique blend of pop, rock, EDM, and R&B. Her international flavor was further enhanced at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2019, while Aizhou was doing modeling work for a client, she also won the coveted WGBH Sting Competition. She has since most recently released the hot new pop/EDM single, Binge, a fantasy song about the how to grapple with the perfect relationship, tempered by reality.

Aizhou’s themes for her new songs tend to embrace vulnerability with a sense of strength. Her ballads are both bold and moody, introspective but hopeful. “That’s how we came up with the concert, EDGY,” says Aizhou. “It’s all about the extremes in life: fearing life while also embracing it and living it for all it’s worth. I think this is more than a generation thing — no matter one’s age, we all face fears, but still need to get on with living. This pandemic is a true metaphor for how we can get beyond surviving and learn how to thrive! To get us through the darkness, we need to move in the direction of light. That’s what my music’s all about.”

Fans can attend the concert by following Aizhou at her Facebook and Instagram pages or Stevie Garcia at his Facebook and Instagram pages. Prizes will be raffled during the concert.
