Filmmakers are beginning to navigate their creative flow in a post-pandemic world.

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 31, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Unpaved Rodes Entertainment will safely begin production again on its next film in a post-pandemic world. Their new psychological thriller/horror movie, Followed, centers around the protagonist Jessica, who has just lost her sister to an old family curse. Written and directed by the powerhouse, Rodes Phire, the film is bound to be a festival favorite. The film release is set for late 2021.

Although COVID had stopped many productions in its tracks and massively affected the entertainment industry, Followed film editor, Fernanda Schein, saw the time of pause as a creative blessing.

“I started editing Followed last year, as we had all the material from the principal picture already. In a mutual decision, Rodes and I agreed we should edit the main scenes before going out to shoot the pick-ups and some other missing sequences. The story is profoundly psychological and experimental; we wanted to take our time with it and make sure we were crafting a good narrative. It has been an incredible creative couple of months, where Rodes and I have been trying many different things and discussing the different directions we could take the story to. Because Covid ended up changing our schedule, we had extra time to work on the edit before the reshoot. I’m very excited about the new material Rodes will shoot next year and finalize this mesmerizing story.”
