DownTown Mystic Leads Stellar Cast For Christmas Release.
NEW YORK, NY, December 12, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Sha-La Music, Inc. announces the worldwide release of the Welcome To Sha-La Land compilation album on December 18 featuring songs by DownTown Mystic, Bruce Engler, The Discontent and New Age Guru Monte Farber. The album is distributed worldwide by The Orchard/Sony Music and available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes. Welcome To Sha-La Land was released last week to Radio exclusively via the online digital platform AirPlayDirect, reaching #1 on the APD Global Rock/AAA Chart.
The lead track, Test Of Time by DownTown Mystic, was released as a single on December 4 and at Radio on December 7 where it’s already getting airplay on 30 stations in a dozen countries via iPluggers. The Test Of Time single features Bruce Engler, who recently released his 3rd solo record, The Landing. His slide guitar playing is a highlight on Test Of Time and Sha-La Music plans to release Bruce’s collaboration with DownTown Mystic, One More Chance featuring DownTown Mystic in 2021. DownTown Mystic produced and played on all the Sha-La Land tracks with Bruce as well as The Discontent. Sha-La plans to release the DownTown Mystic On E Street Deluxe album featuring RnR Hall of Famers Max Weinberg and Garry Tallent of The E Street Band next month on January 22, 2021.
The idea behind Welcome To Sha-La Land was to release music with a positive message for the emotional times of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Sha-La Music President Robert Allen says, “A few months back the thought occurred to me that I should send out some musical ‘positive vibes’ to the world dealing with the emotional side of this pandemic. I realized there were a number of positive songs released on Sha-La and the compilation album was born. The cover artwork had a Christmas look to it with the green and reds flowing together, so I thought a Holiday Season release would be in order. Even though there are no ‘Christmas songs’, I felt that the positive nature of the music on the album would capture the ‘holiday spirit’.” With songs like Test Of Time, One More Chance, Dying Breath, and Good Karma, the holiday spirit is alive and well in Sha-La Land.
