Jaylen Stewart, known as SS.Stew is one such example who transformed his dreams into goals and ultimately achieved his desired success. A young 21 year boy, who began creating songs and mastered his craft by learning music from YouTube tutorials. “Icy and Wavy” was SS. stew first recording which came out and surprised many. His first release was loved by everyone in East bay despite of it having a not upto the mark sound quality. His initiative not only showed him the path to proceed with but it also gave him the recognition in society. People could now spot him because of his work.
Couple of months later stew came up with one more music release but this time his number of listener dwindle because of waiting for so long. Stew then decided to take a long break and focused on his schooling for 3 long years. Finally making a comeback in 2019, stew made one last attempt and this time; with all his dedications he unveiled his first EP called ‘Myself’, by SS.stew. Stew’s new release intoxicated music lovers around 54 different countries in just 2 weeks. His work streamed more than 10,000 times on all streaming platforms. Stew passion made him unique and from then on he strengthened his business by branding himself and his music.
What led Stew to reach at this position at this early age is his father’s struggle and dedication. His father’s journey and how he started from scratch to owning a graphic designing company called wedesignap, has motivated Stew to evolve as an artist. However Stew also believes that having faith in God, working hard towards your goal and overcoming the negativity will reward you with success no matter what. He considers a good mindset is everything which is required to progress.
Defining success, Stew believes that success is accomplishing, overcoming any obstacle that anyone has set for themselves. After the release of “Myself”, Stew aims to come up with new composition in every two months. For this he is currently working with new artists and aspires to launch a music video very soon. Being a marketer and a studio engineer at the same time has helped Stew to differentiate himself with the competition around. He feels that growing his business will definitely lead him to be financially stable and independent and will give him the power to afford the lifestyle he wishes.
Stew feels that music has changed his life. He wants to create and write stories for people to listen to for years to come. He wants to inspire people the same way he has been motivated by his icon. Stew says that one should never give up and be consistent. Stew never feared from stepping outside one’s comfort zone. Stew says that the biggest obstacle he has overcome so far is by knowing what he could’ve lost while pursuing his dream of becoming an artists’. But he thanks his family, friends, and girlfriend for sticking by his side and believing in him, always.
