LAS VEGAS, NV, September 07, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Las Vegas’ Channel 8 News Now will air a segment interviewing Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada Executive Stephanie Parker on September 11, 2019 at 3 p.m. to promote the upcoming Blue Apple Electric sponsored Superhero 5k Race that will be held on September 14, 2019 at Mountain’s Edge Exploration Peak Park. Blue Apple Electric encourages customers and the local community to tune in to Channel 8 to learn more about the race and the foundation’s noble cause.
Blue Apple Electric will be a Wonder Woman Sponsor donating $7,500 for the annually-held race to support children and families affected by cancer. Race day activities and perks will include a live DJ, an awards ceremony for 5K runners, Beer Garden access hosted by Ellis Island, food and refreshments, a raffle drawing, and a Kids Zone with slides, carnival games and an obstacle course. The local community is invited to attend the event, run the race and volunteer.

Chartered in 1978, the vision of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada is “to alleviate the isolation many families feel at the time their child is diagnosed” by providing “emotional support, quality of life programs, and financial assistance for children and their families affected by childhood cancer.” Candlelighters serves approximately 125 families every month and up to 600 children (both siblings and diagnosed children) every year.
