Town’s First-Ever Krystal Debuts All-New Restaurant Design Alongside Fan-Favorite Foods

ATLANTA, GA, January 23, 2020 /Neptune100/ — On January 15th, residents and classic quick-service restaurant fans in Saltillo, MS got their first tastes of an exciting new future for The Krystal Company. The beloved southern-heritage food brand not only opened its first-ever restaurant in the northeastern town outside of Tupelo; it did so with a completely reimagined prototype restaurant design designed to serve more guests, at a faster pace, with even more of Krystal’s famous warm hospitality.

“This is a big day for our guests and friends in Saltillo,” said Tim Ward, Krystal president and COO. “This is one of the first destinations in the state to experience our new restaurant design, and we’re pleased to be working with a seasoned franchisee in bringing this vision to this market.”

Features of the new restaurant design, which Krystal calls it’s “Iconic Series” prototype include additional grill capacity, double drive-thru lanes, a vibrant new interior and exterior color and lighting scheme, and graphic elements inside restaurants that reflect the personality and pride of the local community. The increased output of the new design is expected to be particularly useful in shortening drive-thru and walk-in wait times for late-night and breakfast guests on the go.

Located at 118 Turner Park Road in Saltillo, MS 38866, the new Krystal will provide a total of close to 50 new jobs to the area. The Saltillo Krystal is owned by established, 20-year franchisee, Ben Craddock. The family already owns four other Krystal franchises throughout the region as well as the Exxon truck stop immediately next door to the new Krystal restaurant.

“We are thrilled to be in Saltillo with the addition of our new Krystal. Saltillo has been on our radar since we bought the BlueSky Exxon a couple of years ago. We knew it would be special because Saltillo truly has grown in the last 10 years and we feel it can be one of the best stores we have because it’s a proud town filled with wonderful people,” Craddock said. “We want to thank the Mayor for all his help, along with the city of Saltillo, for helping us make this happen. It’s an honor for us to be here.”
