NEW YORK, NY, July 27, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Alina and Inessa Vike aren’t your typical twins — actually they are far from it.
There’s no question that instagram pages with beauty & make-up products are abundant, but few of them do it so well & strategized as The Vike Twins do it.
From a very young age, the Vike sisters shared a passion for the world of makeup. As they grew, they decided to tap into their passion by doing their friends makeup and giving out makeup advice. They spent their days watching youtube beauty videos and Sephora became their second home.
As soon as they turned 16 years old, the legal working age, they both began working, always remembering the importance of maintaining their good grades. As they began to work, they both were clear that the goal “we would talk about creating our own Empire, it was always in us”. They would save up money they made from working, knowing there were bigger plans to come.
Finally the twins became tired of always watching beauty bloggers on Youtube and finally decided it was their turn to be behind the camera.
“We wanted to share our tips and we wanted to inspire others but we knew we had to start somewhere,” said the sisters.
One day while working at the mall, Alina decided to bid on a Canon Rebel T3i camera on eBay. To her surprise, she won.
They had no real set up, just their camera and a desire to grow. They would put their camera on top of stacks of books, filming in their room. Because of their desire to make the videos perfect, they decided to invest in professional lighting, and thus their bedroom turned into their own little production studio.
They were determined to make it work. While some get discouraged in the beginning, the twins knew they had to persevere to get to where they wanted to be.
“You must love the growth, the idea of taking nothing and growing it and we did. The idea of putting out content you love and that makes you feel truly happy is far more important than the likes you receive, in the beginning,” they emphasized.
As time went on, they began discovering new techniques and coming up with new creative ideas to make their channel better.
When it came time to finish their degree, the twins decided to put their beauty blogger lives on hold and continue their studies, but never forgetting what their end goal was.
“We would speak our success into existence; the future of having our own brand, often talking about it and day-dreaming during our lunch breaks at school. Sharing and brainstorming many different ideas. We didn’t know how to do it, we didn’t know when, we didn’t know what but what we did know is that this was in our blood,” they stressed. In 2017, both sisters graduated with their BBA in finances.
In June 26, 2018, these two sisters finally decided to pursue their dreams and registered VIKE as an LLC.
They opened up a joint bank account and put all their life savings into it. Their dream suddenly became their reality and it came time to plan exactly what would come next. They began working with many different beauty brands, eventually gaining the attention of Paris Hilton, Anastasia Beverly Hills, ColourPop Cosmetics, Milk Makeup, and the likes. On May 17, 2019, the two sisters were honored with CEW x Preen.Me Rising Beauty Influencer Award, at the industry’s most significant event recognizing the year’s most creative and innovation beauty products.
In the midst of it all, the twins continue to work on their brand, finally deciding to come out with their very own product. With more products in the works, hard work, and each other, these twins are taking over the beauty world.
