These FDA Approved Face Masks Filter 95% Of Air Particles

BIRMINGHAM, AL, September 05, 2020 /Neptune100/ — A Duke University study published the effectiveness of 14 different mask types and found further proof that the KN95 mask is effective for stopping transmission of respiratory droplets during regular speech.

KN95 masks provide a higher degree of protection than a surgical mask or cloth mask because they can filter out both large and small particles when the wearer breathes. They’re called KN95 masks because they’re designed to block 95% of particles or liquids that may come in contact with your face.

While personal protective equipment shortages persist, often leaving those most vulnerable to contracting the virus — including health care workers — unable to procure enough KN95 masks, PPE is available for individual purchase at some online retailers.
