According to a report by the Computer Industry Technology Association, last year Tech-related employment in the Denver metropolitan area alone increased by 5,291 new jobs.

DENVER, CO, October 14, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Switch Software, a Nearshore custom application development firm, has expanded their office space in Montevideo, Uruguay twice in just the past two years. That expansion arose from the need to accommodate more software development staff, with growth largely fueled by demand from the US market. To expand on that growth, Switch had previously opened two commercial offices in the US – in Austin, TX, and more recently, in Chicago. And now, joining hands with Colorado-based Thrive Workplace, the Greater Denver area.

Thrive Workplace – a coworking firm focused on providing custom, result-driven workspaces with a flexible pricing structure, served up in a thoughtful, and collaborative culture – plans to expand its footprint and add additional services by years end.

Last year, flexible space operators accounted for 13.4 million square feet, or 7.6 percent of total office footage leased in the United States in 2018, according to data from commercial real estate firm CBRE. And as of August 2019, that number had already jumped to 8.6 percent of total office space.

The software market provides a unique opportunity for both coworking and IT services firms – as established Nearshore companies can offer experienced software engineering talent, cost-effectively from their respective countries. In turn, innovative companies need accessible, flexible coworking space to grow their operations sustainably.

S. Arnie Johnson – Chair and President, Thrive Workplace Board of Directors – said the following about the partnership, “Thrive’s leadership has identified, as part of its ongoing strategic development, the need to provide services to our members. A key part of this strategy is based on the ‘Core Values’ established by our leadership team. A specific area is in software, and we looked for a dynamic company that is ‘Growth Minded’ and could offer our members a variety of services. Thrive focuses on ‘Creating an Outstanding Customer Experience’ and helps our members grow. This partnership with Switch not only enables outstanding services to our membership, but also gives Switch the opportunity to grow in the Colorado marketplace. We are excited to move forward on this partnership and offer these benefits to our Community.”

Currently, the majority of Switch Software’s client base in both the US and Uruguay are large corporations in the enterprise space – but the firm sees very high growth potential in partnering with SMBs and other innovative companies who have ambitious growth plans, badly needing to expand their technological capabilities.

“We have already witnessed first-hand the demand of very dynamic SMBs in Colorado and elsewhere in the US. One of our first clients in the space was a Texas-based company who secured funding from Mark Cuban on a cold email. These small, innovative firms, especially those already established with highly technical management staff or technical Founders, seem to see the value in rapid access to quality software engineers – to expand their product or service capabilities faster than the competition – and at a cost that still allows them to invest in growth in other non-technical areas, like go-to-market initiatives. We see this partnership with Thrive Workplace as an excellent opportunity to capitalize on the initial traction we have gained in the US market, and most importantly, a strategic partnership opportunity with a company that we truly share values with,” said Nicolas Zangaro, Co-Founder & Executive Partner of Switch Software.
