Green Tech Farm says it has agreed to design, configure and produce a major run of bespoke HydroPods for a South African consortium of commercial crop growers.

HONG KONG, July 30, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Green Tech Farm says it has agreed to design, configure and produce a major run of bespoke HydroPods for a South African consortium of commercial crop growers.

Hong Kong-based next-generation vertical and urban farming solutions provider, Green Farm Asia Trading Co., Limited, also known as Green Tech Farm has confirmed that it has agreed to design, configure and assemble a run of 50 bespoke versions of its HydroPod product for a consortium of South African commercial food growers.

The company has experienced significant uptick in demand for its standard HydroPods in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic but there has also been a marked increase in interest in the company’s ability to handle bespoke or customized production orders from non-standard customers.

As a result of this, Green Tech Farm is currently hosting several of the consortium’s representatives at its manufacturing facility in Hong Kong. The group has been granted extensive access to observe the assembly of the state-of-the-art lighting, heating and cooling technology that makes the HydroPod’s systems a leader in self-contained horticultural environment control systems.

“The consortium’s representatives are particularly impressed by the number of harvests they will be able to take over the course of a 12-month period but they expressed specific interest in the sheer number of configurations possible with the core HydroPod product,” explained the Green Tech Farm Chief Technology Officer.

Green Tech Farm’s CTO regards the order as “another string to the company’s bow” saying, “We initially suggested the consortium consider the HydroFactory product on account of its flexibility but the mobility permitted by the self-contained HydroPod was the deciding factor for them.”
