The newest project of German agro investment group Agri Terra consists in a 650,000 square meter (160 acre) residential Country Club right outside Paraguay’s capital Asunción

ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY, December 29, 2019 /Neptune100/ — German investment group Agri Terra, headquartered in Grasbrunn (Munich), is very well known for agricultural projects and in particular for investments in citrus plantations in Paraguay. However, with its newest undertaking, the group has surprised the markets. The EcoVita Country Club is a an eco-friendly residential development, where buyers acquire plots in order to build a first or second home, surrounded by large trees and in midst of untouched nature. The company owners, brothers Carsten and Michael Pfau, in a way return to their roots with this venture, since they once started out as a real estate company before shifting more and more towards agriculture.

In pure harmony with nature, EcoVita protects and respects old majestic trees found today on the property, and prefers to include nature in its development concept, rather than imposing itself on it. Right outside the scenic small town Nueva Italia (“New Italy”), and only 35 km (20 miles) away from Paraguays largest city Asunción, the club is under development on generous 65 hectares (160 acres). 550 plots of about 1,000 square meters (10,764 square feet) each, surround a spacious club area which includes all sports and leisure activities one can possibly desire. Highlights of the generous recreational area of about 24 hectares (60 acres) certainly are the professionally designed equestrian facility, the large laguna with sand beaches, the tennis and basket ball area as well as the shooting range. A long jogging course, natural stone swimming pools, as well as a skating rink are other highlights. An ample food court, club house and event facility complete the club area.

Staying at the club – sustainable relaxation combined with great sports and leisure facilities

Surrounded by large ancient trees, the future owners of EcoVita residences will find the ideal retreat, a place to relax and to recharge ones batteries after a week in the big city. Especially people who live in Asuncion’s high-rise buildings welcome the possibility of spending the weekend away from traffic jams, noise and pollution in a quite place with clean air and birdsong. While originally developed primarily for Paraguayan clients, Agri Terra was overwhelmed with inquiries from international clients around the world, immediately after launching the project. While most international clients focus on the investment opportunity EcoVita represents, surprisingly many people are looking to have a first or second home in Paraguay as well. A fast growing tendency, according to Agri Terra.

Building your home in Paraguay

Agri Terra Group acts as a general contractor for clients who wish to engage the company for the purpose of building a home. The group provides sample hones in order to give clients a first idea of cost and quality, but also offers tailor-made solutions to plot owners.

“Most Paraguayan clients already have a construction company on speed dial, and therefore want to take care of the building part themselves. This is perfectly fine with us, as long as certain basic rules are respected. We provide the club’s bylaws before somebody decides on a purchase, just to be on the safe side. With our international clients, it is a different story. Most people from abroad want us to be in charge of their building projects, and we are happy to oblige”, explains Carsten Pfau, the group’s Managing Partner.

Owners of EcoVita plots automatically enjoy access to the extensive club area. For people who do not own a property within club limits, but still wish to use the facilities, Agri Terra offers the possibility to become a club member. At the cost of a one-time subscription fee and monthly membership fees, people may join the club. The membership option is the pregerref choice of people who already oen a home in the area.

Gated community near the big city

With the megacity Asunción just 35 km (20 miles) away and the scenic small town of Nueva Italia right next door, EcoVita offers a place surrounded by nature but still close to civilization. The concept of an eco-friendly club for sports and leisure time is very much appreciated in Paraguay. The fact that the EcoVita club is construed as a gated community makes sure that owners as well as club members sleep well at night. The 24/7 security system is especially appreciated by international clients. People from abroad particularly welcome the proximity to the big city, which offers shopping and entertainment opportunities as well as assistance in case of a medical emergency. EcoVita will offer an hourly shuttle service to Asuncion and back.

Strong demand from abroad

First or second home, a place to spend the weekend, vacation facility or just a smart real estate investment, the EcoVita Country Club in Paraguay has raised sone eyebrows around the world. Orders from countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Germany, the US and Canada are already in the books, and phones continue to ring. Although only at soft launch stage and prior to the official start of sales and marketing, a huge portion of the club has already been sold. Agri Terra officials are already discussing the possibility of a second Country Club project in the near future.
