Teachers Can Achieve Higher Classroom Engagement While Introducing Kids to Financial Literacy with a New Educational Learning Platform Created by Black Woman-Owned Tech Firm

TORONTO, ON, February 11, 2021 /Neptune100/ — Wazzio Inc., launches its current educational project, WazzCards – a learning presentation tool focusing on financial literacy built for teachers and parents. Working with certified teachers to provide the most updated curriculum for grades 3-8, WazzCards equips teachers with a real-time virtual classroom to drive engagement and participation. WazzCards delivers a solution geared towards providing a better education with fewer distractions.

As a Black women-led and owned tech company, Wazzio Inc. is certified by Women Business Entreprises Canada (WBE Canada) and builds software to facilitate our everyday lives. Right now, their focus is on the education of students during these unparalleled times. The primary issue teachers voice their frustration about is lack of engagement. WazzCards’ answer is to encourage students from grades 3-8 to participate in classroom activities in a virtual classroom while learning the intricacies of financial literacy. Presently in beta testing with some schools, WazzCards is receiving positive feedback and support for its ease of use, engagement properties, and inclusion features.

Wazzcards provides a solution to teachers having engagement issues with either in-person or remote learning. By creating a better learning environment for students, the platform offers a curriculum of multiple subjects – math, languages, and more – in tandem with a strong focus on financial literacy. Subjects appear in the form of decks in a multiple-choice format. Correct and incorrect responses, as well as no responses, are differentiated. Teachers and students will receive class statistics at the end of each session on how they performed on the shared multiple-choice deck. WazzCards offers many subjects from Grade 3 to 8, including a distinct card library on financial literacy, enabling students at a young age to learn about saving, debt, and credit to facilitate better decision-making for their financial future. WazzCards isn’t only for teachers; parents can also study with their children at home. Teachers and parents can sign up for a lifetime free premium package as early adopters for a limited time.

“Covid-19 has changed our lives in so many ways,” says Wazzio Founder and CEO Cher Grant. “We have all been thrown into rethinking our priorities—where we live, where we work, and now how we learn and stay connected. How do we learn and work remotely with that same feeling of connectedness? Being remote requires consistency, now more than ever.”

Wazzio Inc. is always thinking of ways to improve social connections in our everyday lives via technology. “We created WazzCards to help teachers and parents have a tool already populated with the curriculum. We wanted to make it easy to sign up, connect, and teach anytime, anywhere. Adding financial literacy components can create excellent financial habits for kids. I know many adults, and I wished we had that education when we were young. So why not learn at an early age?” With a few projects already in the works, you can expect to see other software applications from Wazzio Inc. introduced soon.
