Leading global commercial real estate brokerage firm NAI Global is featuring futurist Jack Uldrich as a keynote speaker at their 2020 Virtual Convention.
NEW YORK, NY, September 14, 2020 /Neptune100/ — As conventions go virtual, so do keynote speakers.
Due to the recent crisis of the coronavirus/COVID-19, conventions of all sorts are going virtual for the very first time. NAI Global is no exception. This week on September 15, global futurist and best selling author Jack Uldrich will deliver an online keynote for them.
His topic, Business as UNusual, could not be more appropriate.
The amount of change we are experiencing in the corporate sector is unprecedented. It’s exciting, it’s scary, and it’s definitely unusual. The question is, how will large organizations, like NAI Global, adjust?
Jack Uldrich has some ideas.
Podcast host, Steve Scherer, of CCB Technologies, describes Uldrich as “humble, articulate, and gracious,” and he promises his audiences won’t be lost when talking about technological trends.
“One of the greatest trends we are faced with right now,” says Uldrich, “that requires a solid pivot is learning to get savvy working from home. Who knew last year that all our conventions, once densely populated social outings and great networking opportunities, would require such a radical shift?”
Right up until the onslaught of the pandemic, and stay at home orders were put in place, Uldrich was traveling the world speaking. And while he did predict a pandemic as far back as 2008, making this kind of shift in his own work-life wasn’t exactly on his radar.
As a futurist, he had to put his money where his mouth was to stay viable; he too had to learn this new online game. And organizations like NAI Global are also learning.
Hence the first-ever virtual conference and inviting Uldrich to be a part of it.
From his home office based in Minneapolis, MN, Uldrich will address his remote NAI Global audience. His topic of Business as UNusual is also the title of one of his latest books and will be released later this fall. Additionally, he is co-authoring yet another book with Camille Kolles that fosters the idea of greater Corporate Social Responsibility and a paradigm shift where leaders develop a more in-depth perspective and begin reimagining the future in positive, optimistic, more meaningful ways.
“Business as unusual means there is going to be a lot of unlearning happening, and that means people may be feeling uncomfortable for a while. What gives me hope,” says Uldrich, “is that we are all in this together. So, in turn, I think we will see an expansion of understanding.”
Now more than ever, businesses need to be future-proofing, but the question remains, how do we do that when we face so many unknowns?
Uldrich believes one of the answers lies in asking better questions and thinking about the unthinkable.
He’s looking forward to his virtual delivery on Tuesday and will follow up with four more virtual conferences and panel discussions this week alone.
So while business is unusual, as a futurist who follows his predictions and practices unlearning, Jack Uldrich is staying unusually busy.
