The Mesothelioma Victims Center is appealing to the family of a Navy Veteran who had heavy exposure to asbestos to be sure and tell his doctors about the exposure. Too many people with mesothelioma are being diagnosed with COVID-19.

NEW YORK, NY, May 26, 2020 /Neptune100/ — The Mesothelioma Victims Center says, “We are very concerned that Navy Veterans or people who had extreme exposure to asbestos in the navy or at work are not getting properly diagnosed with mesothelioma-instead they are being diagnosed with COVID-19. The Coronavirus-COVID-19 has very similar symptoms to mesothelioma-such as pneumonia. If your Navy Veteran-family member had extreme exposure to asbestos in the navy and they have been diagnosed with COVID-19 please tell the attending doctors your loved one also had heavy exposure to asbestos-and request they take a look at his chest X-rays as we would be happy to discuss at 800-714-0303.
