LONDON, ENGLAND, May 29, 2020 /Neptune100/ — On Wednesday, 20 May 2020, interworks.cloud – the award-winning provider of an automation platform aimed at transforming the way businesses sell cloud products – demonstrated its determination to turn business-travel constraints into an opportunity. Its seamlessly choreographed 2020 Virtual Summit, supported by leading sector players Microsoft and Acronis, saw many of the sector’s business leaders, and participants from across the world, build momentum on how not just to survive – but to thrive – in the new realities that the Covid-19 pandemic is driving.
With traditional business conferences suspended, the company hatched a plan to get cloud players and business leaders from across the world together—virtually. Participants from Europe, the US, Asia, Australia and Africa joined the professionally moderated event, which ran at GMT+3 for almost nine hours over the day.
They were served generous helpings of expert advice and well-informed future-gazing from 24 expert speakers – many of them C-suite executives in the vanguard of cloud industry growth. In a packed agenda, speakers were tasked with delivering tight 15-minute presentations on topics spanning the subjects exercising business leaders’ minds.
The concentration of leaders generated an electricity of its own, with participants treated to glimpses of a tech-driven future: from scenario planning to navigate future corporate strategy, through tailoring marketing approaches to the new realities, to how tech and AI can help oil the wheels of economic recovery and combat Covid-19 itself. The summit tackled key strategic choices too – with speakers stressing the importance of pressing hard on the pedals of innovation and transformation despite the tough times. It also looked at societal questions – like how tech can help NGOs and offer all people brighter futures.
The summit’s success was confirmed by post-event statistics which showed sustained levels of viewing from participants, who interacted through the event by submitting pertinent questions for speakers to answer. Feedback was highly positive, with participants expressing a 100% satisfaction rate and describing the summit as having an “all-star line-up,” “very informative,” and a “great experience.”
To further increase the value for its ecosystem, interworks.cloud also ensured, in short order, that the summit’s recorded proceedings and presentation materials were available for wider dissemination. Ultimately, the company expects to reach more than 2,000 people through distribution via social media and other channels.
Commenting on the summit’s success, Pelagia Papoulidou, interworks.cloud’s VP of Customer Engagement, said: “It was touch and go at times ahead of our first summit of this type because we were determined to turn concept into reality in the space of a few weeks. But our cloud ecosystem is marked by generous, visionary, and agile players – and we felt we should create something of real value for them in these uncertain times. Our aim was to deliver a message of opportunity, as well as usable advice, as businesses adapt their strategies to the new realities. The insights on the day surpassed everybody’s expectations and energized us all to forge ahead toward the benefits that digital transformation offers.”
