“3 Kola Nuts” Shows the Rewards of Patience
NASHVILLE, TN, January 28, 2021 /Neptune100/ — The Art of Storytelln is proud to announce the release of a new children’s book, “3 Kola Nuts,” by Precious Adesuwa. The book uses fun illustrations and engaging characters to deal with the importance of patience and the rewards that patience brings. The story ties in with the current COVID-19 pandemic and stresses to children who have been under quarantine for a long time that they will see the rewards of their patience.
Three kola nuts named Owo, Eva, and Eha are waiting to be plucked from the Kola Nut tree as the story opens, but they are faced with a huge problem: They are not ripe yet. Two of the Kola Nuts decide to take matters into their own hands in their attempt to be plucked from the tree, but the third Kola Nut takes a different approach, patience. That approach teaches all three of the Kola Nuts, and the readers of the story, a valuable lesson.
According to Adesuwa, “This book is one that any parent should be able to relate to, especially in this year of lockdowns and remote schooling. It’s been a trying time for everyone, so something constructive that teaches about the value of patience should be welcome in most homes.”
“3 Kola Nuts” is available in hardback and on Kindle apps and devices. The book is available to read for free for Kindle Unlimited subscribers. The book is also available at Barnes and Noble, both in select stores and online. The title is Kids’ Club eligible. The 25-page picture book is recommended for children aged three to seven years of age and for readers from pre-school through first grade.
Adesuwa is also offering a free audio version of her book through her Facebook page with digital or print purchase of the book. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee to Nigerian parents from a tribe called Edo, Adesuwa has a love for the arts and education. She attended the Nashville School for the Arts, where she studied Dance and Theater, but ultimately decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and majored in Early Childhood Education at Tennessee State University. It was during a Children’s Literature class at TSU that Adesuwa discovered her passion for storytelling and children’s literature. She is a member of (SCBWI) Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
