MANAGEMENT TEAM

Graeme McRae, President

Graeme founded the company with five former Bioniche Life Sciences Inc. colleagues. He personally financed and led external financings for a total of more than C$3.5M to support Company operations since the founding.

He assembled/led a skilled management team and led the acquisition of an animal health technology platform.

Graeme oversees company operations, including research and development, sales and marketing, production, operations. He also leads business development initiatives including marketing partnerships. Graeme acts as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Previously he was the Founder and CEO of Vetrepharm Inc. (predecessor to Bioniche Life Sciences Inc.), where he developed a research initiative resulting in two technology platforms, one of which achieved 70% global market share over 30 years. Bioniche developed the mycobacterial cell wall platform for animal and human use.

Post which he was the President & CEO of Bioniche Life Sciences Inc. in 1999, where he created a skilled team of over 150 personnel in Canada, USA and Europe, listed the company on the TSX and led financings totaling over $150,000,000. Graeme retired as Chairman Emeritis in 2013.

Stanley John Alkemade, Chief Veterinary Scientific Officer

Stanley has over 50 years experience in the Veterinary industry. He holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Melbourne. He is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, London U.K. Holds certifications from the Canada Veterinary Medical Association, Ottawa and Ontario Veterinary Association, Guelph, Canada.

He has held the directorship post 16 times in his career span, associated with 20 professional associations, published 13 scientific papers, presented 47 times at the scientific conference, delivered 19 lecture series and holds 43 worldwide patents.

Mohamed Elrafih, Vice President, Manufacturing

Mohamed is a highly motivated individual with extensive experience and skills in the biotechnology, animal vaccines and pharmaceutical industry. His experience includes: process design, facility design and construction, production scale-up, compliance with regulatory authorities (HC, CFIA, EU, FDA, USDA, and APVMA), research and development, managing highly technical staff, budget preparation and management, managing projects from conceptual design to full production.

Mohamed graduated with a B.Sc. (Microbiology) from the University of Western Ontario.

Jennifer Shea, Vice-President, Investor Relations & Business Development

Jennifer is responsible for:

• Planning and coordinating internal and external communications (includes quarterly newsletter production, website, and Facebook promotions)
• Overseeing media relations (includes writing of all news releases and responding to media inquiries)
• Coordinating investor relations activities, including setting up meetings with potential investors, coordinating follow-up materials, preparing investor presentations
• Overseeing sales and marketing activities, including supervising sales representatives, coordinating the production of marketing materials, and attending relevant conferences/trade shows
• Overseeing business development activities, including coordinating meetings with potential business partners, preparing pitch decks, responding to inquiries, and assisting with contractual arrangements
• Acting as Director for both parent company and U.S. subsidiary

She holds a Broadcast Journalism Diploma from Loyalist College (Belleville, Ontario)

Steve Wykes, Financial Manager

Steve is responsible for managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, preparing month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reports.

He is responsible for working with external accountants on annual financial report reviews, preparing and filing tax reports, maintaining internal accounting records and reconciling these with backup materials.

He is responsible for preparing royalty and commission reports to support payments, liaising with suppliers regarding outstanding accounts, managing day-to-day cash flow, assisting management with the production of budgets and forecasts as required, advising management regarding tax implications of various corporate initiatives.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Queen’s University and attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
