Exotic Cars and Pets for Adoption Highlight Family Friendly Festival in New Design District
FORT WORTH, TX, August 21, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Based on the number of people who have expressed interest on Facebook and the turnout from March’s graffiti art event in the Fort Worth Design District, organizers expect more than 14,000 to be on hand for the first annual Hot Cars and Hot Dogs event on September 14, 2019.
Hot Cars and Hot Dogs will be held at 1953 Golden Heights Road in Fort Worth from 11 am to 4 pm with popular food trucks and 75+ vendors offering unique items like handmade jewelry, arts and crafts, pet items, beauty products, household goods and tasty treats.
“We love to share our hand-decorated sugar cookies at strong, well promoted local events,” said Cheneya Cruze, owner of Charlie and The Cookie Factory in Watauga, Texas. “It’s a fun, cost-effective way to promote our sweet treats,” she added.
In addition to opportunities to adopt dogs from local rescues, the event will feature an array of supercars from DFW car clubs. A Bugatti Veyron, a 2020 McLaren 720 and a Lamborghini Huracan will be among the many cars available for photo ops.
Prizes will be raffled off throughout the event, including a one-hour driving experience in the Lamborghini from sponsor Fort Worth Car Storage.
“We look forward to seeing many of our customers in a perfect dog-friendly environment,” said another of the event’s sponsors, Linda Allen of Linda Allen State Farm in Fort Worth. The district has its own dog park with dedicated areas for large and small dogs.
At the heart of the design district is a unique business park built from more than 150 recycled shipping containers decorated with murals by some of America’s best graffiti artists done during the district’s annual graffiti art contest. The approximately 40-acre district is home to many creative and service businesses in fields like fashion, design and architecture.
“During Hot Cars and Hot Dogs, we are excited to offer free tours of our shipping container commercial lofts and studios made for creatives and for entrepreneurs in the service sector,” said RDS Investments Vice President Jim Eaton.
“Visitors will also want to do the Snap and Share Art Walk, a series of interactive murals that are perfect for snapping selfies,” added Eaton. Love Locks, a mural for couples, is the most popular of them because lovebirds can add their own love lock to it.
