Music was always in my blood… I am so overjoyed that this has happened for me. I dreamt about this for years.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, July 23, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Plugstar Entertainment is pleased to introduce its newest client, Bashir Hogue. The lifelong music performer and former Philadelphia gospel choir leader made a splash in the London music scene before releasing his first two albums. With a UK Stellar Award, two Gospel Image Awards and a mainstream distribution deal with Empire in hand, the singer/songwriter recently released the first single from his long-awaited third album, Love Factor: Song Of Solomon Modern Days. Titled “Love U Back,” the smooth groove features Hogue singing passionate harmonies and runs with his signature, textured voice and marks his artistic transition from gospel to R&B. Tune into the Asuquo Travels podcast on Wednesday, July 29, to hear him discuss this career move and more.
“‘Love U Back’ is about love over lust. It’s reminiscent of the old days when things were simple, genuine, and innocent,” Hogue shares. “It’s about when a spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend messes up and asks for forgiveness… It speaks to love factors like tenacity, consistency, and unconditional acceptance.”
Produced by Will Baumgardner and Ronald Hall, “Love U Back” is now available on most music platforms. Look for the album to drop on Tuesday, September 8.
Additionally, THE CULTURE, the Catch The Fire TV Network talk show that Hogue began hosting in 2015, will be returning with new episodes this summer. On it, the humble star will discuss hot topics and interview a new roster of well-known artists, Grammy and Emmy Award winners, entrepreneurs, and CEOs.
The wordsmith, who has shared the stage with Andrea Bocelli, Tremaine Hawkins, Kelly Price, Karen Clark-shared and Richard Smallwood, is currently in production with Marvalous Entertainment on Both Sides, a music documentary directed by Emmy Award winner Kyle Godwin.
