Military Spouse Advocacy Network, MSAN, was named as a winner of a 2020 Newman’s Own Award, today. MSAN will receive a grant of $30,000 to grow its New Military Spouse Support program.

WASHINGTON, DC, November 12, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Military Spouse Advocacy Network, MSAN, was named as a winner of a 2020 Newman’s Own Award, today. MSAN will receive a grant of $30,000 to grow its New Military Spouse Support program.

Newman’s Own® Awards began as a partnership between Fisher House Foundation, Military Times, and Newman’s Own in 1999 and have now awarded more than $2.1 million across 185 non-profit programs that support military, veterans, and their families.

Military Spouse Advocacy Network was selected from more than 330 applicants to receive an award. Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission to create stronger military families through education, empowerment, and support. MSAN’s Military Spouse Mentorship-HUB helps to bridge military families from every branch of the armed forces and their surrounding communities in locations around the world through a Virtual Education and Resource Center and New Military Spouse Support Program. MSAN’s collaborations with official military installations, Department of Defense (DoD) resources, and trusted partner organizations provides a structured and personal approach through a one-of-a-kind peer-to-peer mentorship experience, building long-term connections to local and national resources expanding the military family sense of community.

The 2020 grants were awarded to six non-profit organizations supporting military service members and their families. Newman’s Own® Awards provide funding toward innovative programs created to improve the quality of life for veterans.

This year’s winners were honored in a live, virtual ceremony hosted by Military Times on November 9, 2020. The ceremony was aired publicly on militarytimes.com on November 11, 2020, Veterans Day.
