Taking Agriculture in Nigeria to the Next Level

ABUJA, NIGERIA, August 17, 2019 /Neptune100/ — Nigeria is Africa’s biggest economy or as popularly called Giant of Africa, and agriculture plays a vital role in its economic development. Today, the agricultural sector is one of the most important sectors in the country and employs around 70% of the labour force. However, the agricultural sector faces the challenge of low output and in a quest to find a solution, FarmAgric was born. Within a short timeframe, FarmAgric has partnered with over 3000 Individual and corporate investors who have subscribed to raise funds for smallholder farmers. This was done by launching and completing various farm cycles from livestock to crops, which typically run for 6 to 10 months.

Some other forms of partnerships were also established with tech-driven companies such as FINT – a peer-to-peer loan market place to offer subscribers access to loans up to 50% of initial investment; KOBOPAY, to grant their users seamless access to invest in our cycles. Another partnership was forged with, PIGGYVEST to help subscribers earn on their savings by investing in our farms. FarmAgric is looking forward to partnering with other tech-enabled firms for greater impact and complimentary growth.

FarmAgric has just launched its new project on Cashew Cultivation and Cashew Nut Production, which is a long-term investment plan for persons looking into a retirement plan or a source of income for recurrent expenditure. This project has come at a great time as cashew production in Nigeria is currently going through a major improvement as its (Cashew) production in the country has hit 260,000 tons within the first half of the year, this shows the years to come will be profitable for Nigeria in the production of Cashew.

FarmAgric recognizes the potential and has decided to break into the market and explore the various opportunities while partnering with Investors both Individuals and Corporations.
