In the midst of COVID shutdowns, this Canadian rock artist looks to make waves worldwide with his latest song.
OKANAGAN VALLEY, BC, January 25, 2021 /Neptune100/ — Independent rocker, Kris Anders, recently released his signature single, “Shattered” globally through US-based label, White Lion Audio and Sony Orchard. Kris is managed by Salter-Gann Universal Promotions and Management, LLC and his song is available on all music platform.
“Shattered” is an overall lesson in what a great song sounds like. The melody is catchy right from the opening bars and Kris’s voice enters the mix deep, smooth, and sultry. The listener is comfortably swept along by his easy tenor verse when suddenly he reaches into his 3-octave range for a hook that immediately imprints itself in your brain. And let’s not forget the sweet guitar solo Anders adds midway through the song, just to show us all that he can play, as well as sing up a storm. “Shattered” is an all-around great song performed by a rising Canadian star.
Kris Anders started playing music at a young age. As a teen, he played in garage bands in high school and university where he honed his songwriting and performing skills. When he moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2005, along with his wife, Deanna J Cartea, they both got involved in the local music scene and started to perform as singer/songwriters. Later, he took on the role of Manager and Executive Producer for Deanna as her career was progressing well. Together they recorded an album that went on to win an Independent Music Award, as well as gained radio play in North America and Europe.
In 2020, Anders started his own band in the Okanagan Valley with the idea of playing at local venues. When Covid-19 began impacting performance opportunities, Anders decided to start recording original material for worldwide release. “Shattered” is the first single Anders recorded at Lake Studios in Kelowna, BC.
“I plan to play as much as possible with a focus on the local scene here in the Okanagan area and the Interior of BC once venues are open to live music again”, Anders says. “I am also hoping to record more original material. I have committed to being a full-time musician so I will be playing and recording as much as possible.”
Last August, Kris contacted fellow Canadian, Mark Rosner of Rosner Management Services, and within a few days had a Management deal in place with Salter-Gann Universal Promotions. Kris has received radio play on licensed internet radio stations such as the Blast FM network, as well as terrestrial radio play on a number of stations in Canada. “Mark and his amazing team have all played a major role in this success,” Anders says, “and I’d like to thank them all for their hard work in helping me accomplish many of these achievements.”
