Warehouse facility will be used to distribute donated goods to stores across the North Georgia region and expand the retailer’s e-commerce operations
ATLANTA, GA, July 23, 2020 /Neptune100/ — Ackerman & Co. has completed a long-term, 75,205-square-foot lease with Goodwill of North Georgia at 6550 Best Friend Road in Norcross, Ga., for the non-profit retailer’s new distribution and donation center. The facility will provide expanded space for Goodwill of North Georgia’s distribution operations, e-commerce sales and donation sorting.
Ackerman Retail Executive Vice President Brian Lefkoff and Ackerman & Co. Vice President Chris Miller represented Goodwill of North Georgia in the transaction. Colliers Atlanta Senior Vice President Scott Plomgren and Vice President Harrison Marsteller represented the landlord, Exeter Property Group.
Located between I-285 and I-85 with quick access to Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, the warehouse will distribute donated goods to the 67 retail stores across the Goodwill of North Georgia region. The expanded space will allow the retailer to add work stations to grow its e-commerce services while enhancing the efficiency of its donations sorting to provide faster delivery of goods to stores.

The warehouse facility features 17 docks, 24-foot clear heights, a private truck court with gated access and 82 parking spots.
